Bio

Ernest Melton is a saxophonist based in Kansas City, Missouri. He picked up the tenor sax  at age 10, by age 15, Ernest was playing gigs throughout the Greater Kansas City area. An avid composer as well, Ernest studied with tutors in classical orchestration, big band arranging, and Afro-Cuban drumming. He continues to enjoy a professional career of playing and writing music of every genre.

Connection to the theme Home

Music has always been home for me. My most significant memories come from when I was performing or listening to music. Music also evokes past experiences in people while simultaneously creating new ones.
