Call for Visual Documentation (Photo/Video) Assistance

The Art in the Loop Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, wishes to contract with an individual to provide photographic and video documentation of the 2017 Art in the Loop Project: Cue!.  

Responsibilities

Within the context of documentation, including but not limited to, photographing and videotaping performances, programs and artworks, organizing photos, obtaining photo release forms, editing photos and videos, and working with Art in the Loop staff to create appropriate documentation for publication in print as well as on-line. Photographs will also be used to create a summary catalog for presentation at the Closing Reception in November. Video footage will be used to create a 3-4 minute video summary of the project.

The 2017 Art in the Loop Project: Cue! will infuse the center of Downtown Kansas City with innovative and engaging temporary art that will refresh, intrigue and surprise Downtown employees, residents, and visitors. The project also creates opportunities for local emerging and established artists to extend their practice into the Downtown environment with curatorial, professional and logistical support. This a curated outdoor exhibition of 10-12 temporary artworks and 12-16 performances presented in 4 locations Downtown, including:

  • City Market Park, 3rd & Walnut;
  • KC Streetcar stops, located along Main Street between 3rd Street and Pershing Road;
  • Kansas City Public Library Central Library; and
  • Prairie Logic on the Green Roof, 6th floor above Cosentino’s grocery store at 13th and Main.
