Jass

Along the KC Streetcar Route.

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and poet Jasmine “Jass” Couch cut her teeth singing in her church choir and playing in a school band. Now, she writes and produces her own music, performing either as a solo act or with a supporting band. Her music is a gentle, foggy fusion of R&B beats and lo-fi pop melodies with a soul-inflected vocal performance. A rising voice to represent the Kansas City music scene, Jass’s ability to shift genres while retaining her own artistic voice is a way of both honoring and building upon the music traditions of Kansas City.

Bio:

My name is Jass and I am a vocalist, poet, instrumentalist, and creative from Kansas City, MO. I was introduced to music at a young age, through church choir and school band. I have been writing, producing, and performing my own music since 2019 and have had the privilege to sing at many local venues, open up for several national recording artists, and many of the amazing artists here in Kansas City. It has been a great joy to share my art and I am so excited for the opportunity to go further and represent my city!
